Habits and medication, beside everything else

The small daily things — creatine, vitamin D, water, a walk, the tablet you keep forgetting — do not deserve their own app.

A separate habit app
  • Its own notifications
  • Its own streaks
  • No idea about your training
  • One more icon to open
In Heala
  • Beside your training and food
  • Streaks across the same week
  • Logged by sentence too
  • One app to open
Separate apps for small daily things is how the small daily things get abandoned.

Habits

Set up the handful of daily things you are trying to be consistent about, and tick them off — or say them out loud, since the coach can log a habit like anything else.

They sit on the same day view as your food and training, which is the only reason they get ticked: an app you open for other reasons is an app where a habit survives.

Medication

Scheduled reminders for medication and supplements, with a record of what was actually taken rather than what was scheduled.

Useful for the ordinary reasons — remembering the thing — and for the less ordinary one: having an honest record to show someone.

What we removed on purpose

Streaks used to be repairable by paying, and that is gone for medication. A medication streak that can be bought back is a record that lies, and the record mattering more than the game is the whole point here.

Questions

Is habit tracking free?

Yes, uncapped on the free plan.

Can I log a habit by voice?

Yes — the coach treats habits like any other write.

Are medication reminders reliable?

They use standard device notifications. Treat them as a prompt rather than a guarantee, the same as any reminder app.
