Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-08-26 · Version 5.9
These are the same terms shown inside the Heala app.
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service govern your use of Heala. By creating a Heala account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use Heala.
These Terms form an agreement between you and:
Heala LTD
Company number 11111111
Registered in England and Wales
Apartment 1219 Nobel Way, Uhaus Vita Living East, Manchester, England, M1 7FY
"Heala", "we", "our" and "us" refer to Heala LTD. Heala is developed by Kerem Erol and Ege Yasayanlar.
2. Eligibility — you must be 18+
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Heala. No individual under 18 may use Heala or provide personal or health information through a Heala account.
Heala uses technical measures designed to prevent people who declare that they are under 18 from creating or using accounts.
You must provide truthful age information. You may not:
- falsely state your date of birth;
- falsely claim to be 18 or older;
- bypass the age gate;
- use another person's account to circumvent the requirement.
Heala is an adult general-wellness service and is not designed for children or teenagers.
The age rating displayed by Apple or another app marketplace does not change the separate contractual requirement that a Heala user must be at least 18. A platform or parental-control setting allowing someone to download Heala does not make an under-18 person eligible to use the service.
If we reasonably determine that an account belongs to a person under 18, we may immediately restrict or close it and delete associated information as described in the Privacy Policy.
3. Your account
You are responsible for:
- keeping your credentials secure;
- information submitted through your account;
- activity performed through your account where reasonably attributable to you.
Do not:
- share your account;
- use another person's account;
- allow another person to submit health information through your account as if it were theirs;
- attempt to circumvent authentication or security controls.
You may delete your account through Profile → Account & Privacy → Delete Account. Deletion is intended to remove applicable live account information as explained in the Privacy Policy. Export your information first if you want to keep a copy.
Subscriptions are separate from account deletion. Deleting a Heala account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Stripe subscription. Before deleting your account, manage or cancel the subscription through the relevant billing provider if you do not want future renewal. Heala should provide an appropriate warning where an active subscription is detected.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of content you create or submit to Heala, including applicable workouts, notes, nutrition logs, manual foods, cycle entries, body measurements, photographs, body scans, generated body-twin files and share cards.
To provide Heala, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce technically, process, adapt for technical presentation, transmit to disclosed service providers, display back to you, and display to recipients you deliberately choose to share with.
This licence exists only as reasonably necessary to operate, protect and provide the service as described in these Terms and the Privacy Policy. Examples include sending a meal image to an AI provider to analyse it; sending body images to a 3D provider when you request a body twin; and processing an approved food submission for the shared food catalogue.
We do not obtain ownership of your personal content merely because you upload it.
Feedback. If you send us a rating, a suggestion, a bug report or any other feedback about Heala, you agree that we may use it to operate and improve the service without any obligation, payment or attribution to you. Feedback is not treated as your confidential information. This does not give us any rights in the personal content described above, and it does not change how we handle personal data, which is governed by the Privacy Policy.
5. Content responsibility and reporting
You are responsible for content you submit — including messages, photographs, video clips, voice messages, posts, comments, community messages, challenge names, profile information and manual food submissions — and you represent that you have the necessary rights and permissions.
You must not submit unlawful content; infringing content; another person's sensitive information without appropriate authority; another person's image without appropriate rights or permission; content that sexualises minors in any form; content that harasses, threatens or abuses another person; malicious files; or content intended to abuse or compromise the service.
Moderation. Feed posts, comments and manual food submissions may undergo automated screening and human review. One-to-one messages between accepted friends are not routinely pre-screened; Heala provides blocking and reporting instead and acts on reports. We may remove content, restrict features and apply warnings or escalating posting restrictions where reasonably necessary because content is unlawful, infringing, abusive, misleading or otherwise breaches these Terms.
To report content, use the report function on the relevant message or post in the app, or contact hello@heala.fit. Blocking a user stops further contact between the two accounts.
6. Heala Pro, subscriptions and billing
Heala may offer free functionality, Heala Pro, monthly subscriptions, annual subscriptions, promotional offers, trials, student offers, regional offers, referral benefits and scan credits.
The exact offer available to you is the one shown by the applicable billing provider before purchase.
App Store purchases. Purchases in the iPhone app are processed through Apple's App Store. Your Apple Account is charged according to the purchase confirmation provided by Apple. Heala uses RevenueCat to manage App Store products and entitlements.
Web purchases. Eligible purchases made through heala.fit may be processed using Stripe Checkout, and managed afterwards in the Stripe billing portal.
Source of truth. Before purchase, the Apple purchase sheet or Stripe Checkout is the source of truth for the product, price, currency, tax, billing period, trial, promotional eligibility and renewal price.
7. Automatic renewal
A recurring subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, according to the billing provider's applicable process. On iOS you can cancel at any time in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
Cancellation generally stops a future renewal and does not automatically terminate access already paid for.
App Store subscriptions are managed through Apple's subscription-management functionality. Web subscriptions may be managed through the Stripe billing portal where available.
8. Trials and promotions
Heala may offer a free trial or promotional price. Trial and promotional eligibility may depend on account, country, purchase history, product, store and campaign.
The checkout screen controls the applicable offer.
If a trial converts automatically into a paid subscription, cancel before the trial ends if you do not wish to be charged.
9. Refunds and statutory rights
Apple manages refund requests for App Store purchases under its applicable rules. Google manages refund requests for Google Play purchases under its applicable rules. For a web purchase, contact hello@heala.fit.
Nothing in these Terms excludes mandatory statutory consumer rights. If applicable law gives you a mandatory withdrawal, cancellation, refund or other remedy, that right continues to apply.
10. Scan credits
Some 3D body functionality may use scan credits. The applicable allowance and price are shown in Heala and/or at checkout.
Purchased scan credits are associated with the applicable account, have no cash value except where law requires otherwise, cannot ordinarily be transferred, and may be subject to provider refund rules.
One credit is consumed only after a usable 3D body model is generated successfully; a failed generation does not spend it. Included allowances may reset according to the applicable subscription.
11. Heala is not medical care
Heala is a fitness and general-wellness service.
Heala is not a medical device, a doctor, a healthcare professional, a healthcare provider, a hospital, an emergency service, a diagnostic service, or a substitute for professional medical care. Unless separately identified and lawfully regulated otherwise, Heala is not intended to provide medical diagnosis or treatment.
Information produced by Heala may include calorie estimates, nutrition estimates, workout programs, training suggestions, recovery scores, readiness scores, sleep scores, strain, HRV-related insights, body measurements, AI coach responses, cycle estimates, medication reminders, 3D body estimates, biological-age estimates and lab-value displays.
These outputs can be wrong, incomplete, delayed, inconsistent or unsuitable for you. They are informational general-wellness outputs, not professional medical advice, diagnosis, treatment or clinical monitoring.
12. Medical conditions, medication and pregnancy
Consult an appropriately qualified healthcare professional before relying on health or wellness information where professional advice is appropriate. This is especially important if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, take medication, are recovering from injury, or have symptoms requiring assessment.
Never disregard professional healthcare advice because of information generated or displayed by Heala.
Medication functionality is intended for reminders and personal logging. Heala does not prescribe medication, determine whether medication is appropriate, determine a safe dose, verify drug interactions, or instruct you to start or stop medication.
Heala cycle and fertility-related estimates are intended for personal awareness only. They are not contraception, fertility treatment, medical diagnosis, pregnancy prevention or pregnancy care.
13. Emergencies
Do not use Heala for emergencies.
If you believe you or another person may be experiencing a medical emergency, contact appropriate emergency services or a qualified healthcare professional. Do not wait for or rely upon a Heala AI response.
14. Connected health information
Information imported from Apple Health, Health Connect, Oura, WHOOP, Fitbit or another connected service may be delayed, duplicated, unavailable, inaccurate or affected by device or provider limitations.
You remain responsible for determining whether information displayed by Heala is appropriate to rely on for ordinary fitness use. Do not rely on connected-device information for emergency or clinical decision-making.
15. Body scans
Body scans, body measurements and 3D body twins are estimates.
They are not clinical measurements, medical imaging, body-composition diagnosis or identity verification. Results may differ from professionally measured values.
Biological-age estimates and 'typical range' displays for lab values are wellness orientation only — not laboratory interpretation, diagnosis or medical advice.
16. AI features
Heala may use third-party AI systems for assistant conversations, coaching, meal analysis, label interpretation, workout generation, program generation, program auditing, body analysis and 3D generation. AI features may be subject to usage limits based on your plan.
AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate. You must review AI output before relying on it.
Do not rely on Heala AI for diagnosis, emergency decisions, prescription decisions, medication dosing, treatment decisions, legal advice or financial advice.
AI providers and models may change. Material changes affecting personal-data disclosures will be reflected in the Privacy Policy and, where required, relevant consent flows.
17. Sensitive information and advertising
Heala processes sensitive health and fitness information to provide functionality you request.
Heala does not intentionally provide the following information to advertising partners for advertising targeting: HealthKit information; wearable health information; nutrition history; meal contents; weight history; workout details; cycle information; reproductive information; medication information; body scans; precise fitness routes; AI health conversations.
This restriction applies regardless of whether you allow optional advertising tracking.
18. Advertising attribution
Heala may use Meta and TikTok for limited advertising attribution, campaign measurement, fraud prevention and permitted advertising optimisation. These services do not mean that third-party advertisements are displayed within the core Heala application.
Subject to applicable consent and platform requirements, Heala may send generic non-health advertising events such as installation, first open, registration completion, paywall view, trial start and generic subscription conversion.
Heala does not intentionally include your health or sensitive feature content in those events.
Allowing advertising tracking is not required to use Heala's core functionality. More information appears in the Privacy Policy.
19. Privacy choices
Some Heala features require separate permissions or consents. These can include HealthKit, location, camera, microphone, notifications, connected health services, AI processing, body scans, marketing and advertising tracking.
Acceptance of these Terms does not automatically constitute permission for every optional data-processing feature. Where separate permission is required, Heala requests it separately.
20. Acceptable use
You must not falsely claim to be 18 or older; bypass Heala's age gate; bypass a paywall; bypass AI usage limits; bypass scan-credit limits; manipulate billing; manipulate referrals; interfere with security; attempt unauthorised access; reverse-engineer Heala except where applicable law expressly permits it; scrape Heala or its backend without authorisation; submit malicious code; abuse AI functionality; use Heala to facilitate unlawful activity; impersonate another person; use another person's account; or submit content you do not have permission to submit. You must not harass, threaten or abuse another user; attempt to contact a user who has blocked you; or use social features to distribute content prohibited by Section 5.
21. Heala intellectual property
Heala and its licensors retain all right, title and interest in the Heala service, including the HEALA name, logos, branding, applications, website, interface, designs, illustrations, icons, motion, code, APIs, algorithms, scoring systems, progression systems, generation systems, original written content, original visual content, exercise content, nutrition content, database structure and documentation.
Subject to these Terms, Heala gives you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes while you remain eligible and your account remains in good standing.
You may use Heala-generated sharing materials created from your own information for their intended sharing purpose. Third-party content and marks remain the property of their respective owners.
22. Third-party services
Heala depends on external services for functionality including infrastructure, authentication, storage, AI, body processing, health integrations, food information, maps, notifications, email, attribution and billing.
Third-party services may change, become unavailable, experience delays or experience outages. Heala does not guarantee continuous operation of an external service.
The Privacy Policy identifies important current providers and how personal information may be processed.
23. App Store licence
If you download Heala through Apple's App Store, the licence to the iOS application is also subject to Apple's applicable standard licence terms.
Unless Heala expressly provides a custom EULA through App Store Connect, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the app licence where applicable: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
These Heala Terms separately govern access to and use of the Heala service and account. Apple is not responsible for operating Heala's service, providing Heala support or administering your Heala account except where Apple's own terms provide otherwise.
If you download Heala through Google Play, the licence to the Android application is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service and any applicable Google terms. Google is not responsible for operating Heala's service, providing Heala support or administering your Heala account except where Google's own terms provide otherwise.
24. Account restriction and termination
We may restrict, suspend or terminate an account where reasonably necessary because of age ineligibility, false age information, violation of these Terms, fraud, abuse, billing manipulation, referral abuse, security threats, unlawful conduct, or attempts to circumvent service limitations.
Where appropriate, we may provide notice or an opportunity to correct an issue.
We may immediately close an account where we reasonably determine that the account holder is under 18.
25. Termination by you
You may stop using Heala at any time. You may delete your account using Profile → Account & Privacy → Delete Account.
Deleting the account terminates access to the account and initiates the applicable deletion process. Note that deleting your Heala account does not automatically cancel an Apple or Stripe subscription.
26. Prepaid value
Where legally permitted, unused included allowances or scan credits may be lost when an account is terminated because of serious fraud, deliberate abuse or deliberate security violations.
If Heala itself withdraws a paid feature or closes an account for reasons unrelated to your conduct, applicable mandatory consumer rights continue to apply. Where legally required, we will provide an appropriate refund, credit or other remedy for prepaid value that cannot be used.
27. Availability and disclaimers
Heala is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" to the extent permitted by law.
We do not guarantee continuous availability, error-free operation, perfect security, complete information, accurate AI output, accurate nutrition information, accurate body estimates, accurate health-device information, accurate route information, or that any recommendation is suitable for you.
Nothing in this section removes rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
28. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Heala and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential losses arising out of use of the service.
Where a contractual monetary limitation is lawful, Heala's aggregate liability arising from the service will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid Heala in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or £100.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including where applicable liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, wilful misconduct or mandatory consumer rights.
Different jurisdictions impose different limits on contractual exclusions, so these provisions apply only to the extent legally permitted where you live.
29. Changes to Heala
We may add, remove, or change plans, published prices, features, providers, AI models and usage limits, or discontinue functionality. Pricing changes apply to future purchases or renewals.
Existing payment obligations and mandatory consumer rights remain subject to applicable law and billing-provider rules.
30. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when Heala changes, providers change, pricing changes, advertising technology changes, platform requirements change, or laws or regulations change.
We will update the version and effective date. Where legally required, we will provide additional notice or seek renewed acceptance. Material changes apply prospectively.
31. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to mandatory rights that apply to you as a consumer in your country of residence.
The courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing in these Terms prevents you from relying on a mandatory consumer-protection provision or bringing proceedings in another court where applicable law gives you that right.
32. Language
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are drafted in English and may be translated. We intend translations to communicate the same rules.
The English version is the operative version except where mandatory law requires another language version to prevail. A translation difference is intended to be corrected rather than create a separate product rule.
