Heala vs Oura
Oura is a very good sleep and readiness sensor you wear on a finger. Heala is the app that takes what it measured and turns it into what to do today.
- Sleep staging
- Overnight HRV
- Resting heart rate
- Temperature trend
- Training for today
- Calories and macros
- Body composition
- And reads the ring
What the ring is better at
Sleep staging and overnight physiology — HRV, resting heart rate, temperature trends — measured rather than estimated, from a device that is comfortable enough to actually wear every night.
Nothing in software substitutes for a sensor against your skin for eight hours.
What it leaves to you
A readiness score is an input, not a plan. Oura tells you how the night went; it does not know your training block, your calorie target, or what you lifted on Tuesday.
Heala holds those, reads the ring through Apple Health or Health Connect, and moves the week accordingly.

Questions
Does Oura sync with Heala?
Yes, through Apple Health or Health Connect — sleep, heart rate and workouts arrive automatically.
Should I buy a ring for Heala?
No. Heala is built to work phone-only. A ring or a watch improves the sleep and recovery half; it is not a requirement.
The quiz is free, takes about four minutes and needs no card. It ends with your calorie target, your macros and a training week you can look at.
