Heala vs Strava
Strava is where runs and rides get shared. Heala is where a run sits next to what you ate, how you slept and what you lifted — and changes the plan.

The short version
Strava’s advantage is not software, it is people. Your friends are on it, segments exist because of them, and that is not something another app replicates by shipping GPS.
Strava is $79.99 a year on the US App Store, checked in August 2026. Heala is $79.99, and cardio is one part of it.
What Heala does with a run that Strava does not
It reads it as training load. The run counts toward your strain, feeds your recovery score, and changes what tomorrow’s session should be.
It knows what you ate. Calories out from the run meet calories in from the day, in one place, without exporting anything.
It has its own map. Friends who share location appear on it, and location history deletes itself after 24 hours.

You can keep both
Plenty of people will, and that is a reasonable answer: Strava for the network, Heala for the plan. Both read Apple Health and Health Connect, so a run recorded by a watch reaches both.
Questions
Does Heala replace Strava?
For training and analysis, largely. For the social side — segments, clubs, kudos from people you already follow — no, and this page is not going to pretend otherwise.
Do my runs sync?
Anything that writes to Apple Health or Health Connect reaches Heala, including runs recorded by a watch.
The quiz is free, takes about four minutes and needs no card. It ends with your calorie target, your macros and a training week you can look at.
