A period tracker that also logs your food, workouts and sleep

A period tracker that also logs food, workouts and sleep lets you see how your own energy, sleep and training move across a cycle, instead of reading a textbook average. Heala tracks period days, cycle length and phase beside food, training and recovery, and it does not prescribe phase-based plans.

Why track your cycle in the same app as training and food?

Energy, sleep quality, resting heart rate and perceived effort all shift across a cycle, and the size of the shift is individual. A cycle app that lives apart from your training log can record the dates, but it can never show you what changed on those days.

Putting the cycle beside food, workouts and sleep means a hard week, a short night and a heavy day of flow sit on the same timeline. That is the point of cycle tracking that is not a separate app.

What should a period tracker with workout and food tracking include?

Period days and cycle length learned from your own history, not a fixed 28-day assumption. A normal cycle runs roughly 21 to 35 days, so a calendar built on day 14 will often be wrong for you. Training and food in the same account, so patterns are visible without exporting anything. Sleep and recovery next to both, with or without a wearable. A switch to turn it off, because not everyone wants it.

Check any app's current features and privacy terms before you commit, because they change.

What does Heala track for your cycle?

Heala records period days, cycle length and the phase you are in, learned from your own history. It sits beside recovery, sleep, training load and appetite, and the cycle section can stay switched off entirely.

The same account holds food, training, cardio, sleep, recovery, strain, body composition and habits, and an AI coach reads all of it. Cycle data is stored under your account with row-level security, is never shared with other users, and can be exported or deleted at any time.

Does Heala tell you to train differently in each phase?

No. Heala does not prescribe a phase-based programme, because the evidence for rigid phase-based training is thinner than the internet suggests. The largest meta-analysis found only trivial average performance differences across the cycle, on low-quality evidence, which is why your own data is the better guide. The detail is in training with your cycle.

Predictions are estimates from your own logged history. They are not contraception, not a fertility tool and not medical advice. If your cycle is very irregular, has stopped, or is painful, speak to a doctor.

How does your cycle change what the scale says?

In the days before a period, hormones shift how much water you hold, so the scale can rise without any fat gained. With weight and cycle in one place, you can read that bump for what it is. The numbers are in why your period moves the scale first.

For the sleep half of the picture, see how to get a recovery score without a wearable.

Worth keeping: “The point is not the tracking. It is that the pattern sits next to the things it moves.”

How do you try it?

Heala is free to download on iPhone, Android coming soon. Core tracking is free and uncapped, including food logging, the exercise library, cardio, sleep, strain, habits and weight, with a weekly AI allowance and 14 days of history.

Heala reads and writes Apple Health and Health Connect, so a watch, ring or scale you already own can feed sleep and recovery, but nothing is locked behind owning one.

How to see your own cycle pattern

1
Log period days for three cycles

One cycle is an anecdote. Three is the start of a pattern.

2
Keep training, food and sleep in the same place

So the days around your period sit beside what you lifted, ate and slept.

3
Watch your own numbers

Resting heart rate, sleep and how sessions felt, not a textbook phase chart.

4
Adjust by feel, not by rule

Lighten a session when you feel flat, push when you feel good, and note which it was.

Quick answers

Is there a period tracker that also tracks workouts and food?

Yes. Heala tracks period days, cycle length and phase in the same account as food, training, cardio, sleep and recovery, so you can see how your own numbers move across a cycle. The cycle section is optional and can stay switched off, and nothing in it is a medical measurement.

Does Heala change my workouts by cycle phase?

No. Heala does not prescribe phase-based training, because the evidence for rigid phase plans is thinner than the internet suggests. It shows your own data beside your sessions and lets you decide how to train, which suits the large individual differences in how a cycle feels.

Can Heala predict ovulation or act as contraception?

No. Heala estimates your fertile window from your logged history, but it is not a contraceptive, not a fertility device and not medical advice. Do not rely on it to prevent or plan a pregnancy, and speak to a doctor or pharmacist about contraception.

Is my cycle data private in Heala?

Cycle data is stored under your account with row-level security and is never shared with other users. You can export or delete it at any time, and the cycle section can stay switched off entirely. It is built to sit beside your training, not to be shared.

Do I need a wearable to track my cycle with Heala?

No. Heala works phone-only. An Apple Watch, Oura ring, WHOOP strap, Garmin or Fitbit can sharpen sleep and recovery through Apple Health or Health Connect, but nothing is locked behind owning one. Heala also reads Apple Health on iPhone, so existing data arrives without a second setup.
